If a candidate for President kicks off the general election by copying his opponent's slogan and his website, what does that mean?
John McCain wants to be President, right? He's wanted to be President for many years. Presumably, he's had a long time to think about what he wants to do as President, and the issues that he thinks are important. So as the general election kicks off, you might expect that the first thing McCain would do is put those things front and center in his campaign, right?

No. The first thing McCain has basically been to plagiarize his opponent's campaign. If you go to his website, many parts of it have recently been blatantly copied from the Obama internet team. In fact, the similarity is so striking, I would say it comes pretty close to being intellectual property theft.
Now, I could understand if McCain recognized the functionality benefits of the Team Obama web layout, and decided it wanted to reap some of those benefits for its own website. That would be innovative. But basically cutting and pasting html is not innovation, my friends.
So what gives? Does John McCain think that the netroots supporters who are giving Obama the advantage in the race are simply attracted by his nice shiny website, and now that McCain has pilfered the design elements, that we will be split between the two camps?
Does John McCain know who he is? Is he so lost about how to run his campaign he figures that his best shot at winning is to rip off his opponent's website, as well as ripping off his slogan? If this what McCain's got, this is over, my friends.
